SINTEF Venture

SINTEF Venture is the seed and early-stage investment operation of SINTEF TTO, the Norwegian research institute’s technology commercialisation company. It develops companies around research from SINTEF, supplies venture capital and helps founders bring scientific technology to market. Its portfolio spans medical devices, ultrasound imaging, industrial robotics, sensors, energy systems and environmental software. The manager operates a series of venture funds and works with external investors and research teams as companies progress from pre-seed development into commercial growth.

  • SINTEF Venture VINOK 500M

    Seed and early-stage fund backing companies spun out from SINTEF research, including robotics sensing, thermal energy storage and health technology. SINTEF publicly announced NOK 500 million in capital on August 8, 2024, and its annual report confirms a final close during 2024 without an exact closing day. Two additional investors increased capital to NOK 517 million during 2025. The fund was established earlier, in 2022; these capital events belong to the same sixth fund.
