SonoClear
SonoClear is a Trondheim medical technology company developing an acoustic coupling fluid for ultrasound-guided brain surgery. Its SonoClear System is designed to match the ultrasound properties of healthy tissue and reduce imaging artefacts introduced during tumour resection, helping neurosurgeons assess tumour borders. The company originated from collaboration among SINTEF, NTNU and St Olav’s Hospital and is conducting clinical investigations. Its system remains under development, exclusively for investigational use, and is not approved for sale in any geography.
