Sonair

Sonair is an Oslo deep-tech company developing ultrasonic sensors that give autonomous robots a three-dimensional view of people and obstacles. Its ADAR sensor uses acoustic detection and ranging in air, drawing on SINTEF research in ultrasound and micro-electromechanical systems. The company sells sensors for mobile robots and industrial automation, including environments where lighting conditions, dust or transparent surfaces challenge conventional sensing. Its commercial ADAR product launched in 2025, and its current ADAR One is designed and certified for functional safety.
