Cartesian
Cartesian is a Trondheim energy technology company designing and producing compact thermal batteries for heating and cooling. Its Thermal Box uses phase-change materials to store thermal energy and release it when demand or electricity prices rise. The modular systems integrate with building and industrial heating, ventilation and cooling installations, supporting load shifting and additional thermal capacity. The company commercialises research from SINTEF and NTNU and works with contractors, energy service companies and utilities across Europe.
