Samsung Venture Investment Corporation, branded Samsung Ventures, is Samsung’s corporate venture capital manager. It invests globally in companies developing AI, robotics, semiconductors and device technologies, biotechnology and healthcare, energy, security, enterprise software and consumer products. Founded in 1999, it helps portfolio companies connect with Samsung businesses and technology networks. It manages the Samsung Life Science Funds, jointly funded by Samsung C&T, Samsung Biologics and Samsung Bioepis to support innovative biotech companies and strategic partnerships.

    Third corporate life sciences venture investment fund, identified as SVIC-80, announced on 1 June 2026 with total capital KRW200 billion. Contributions: Samsung C&T KRW79.2b, Samsung Biologics KRW79.2b, Samsung Bioepis KRW39.6b and Samsung Venture Investment KRW2b. Targets innovative global biotechnology companies and strategic collaborations. The July2026 financial release corroborates creation of this vehicle. Its size is distinct from the KRW442b cumulative capital across Funds I–III; this is corporate fund formation rather than a claimed third-party final fundraising close.

  • Samsung Life Science Fund II₩72B

    Corporate-funded life sciences investment vehicle established in July 2024 and announced in the 24 July financial release. Its KRW72 billion total size is explicitly confirmed in Samsung’s June 2026 announcement. Invests in Flagship Pioneering Fund VIII to access AI-enabled drug-development platforms. Samsung C&T, Samsung Biologics, Samsung Bioepis and Samsung Venture Investment jointly fund it; dollar equivalents are not additional capital.
