Oxford University Innovation Limited (OUI) is the University of Oxford’s research-commercialisation company, registered in England and Wales as02199542 and incorporated27November1987. It formerly traded as Isis Innovation Limited untilJune2016; it is legally distinct from the University of Oxford, independent Oxford Science Enterprises and the existing Oxford University Innovation Fund record. OUI supports intellectual-property protection and licensing, spinout formation, consultancy, entrepreneurship and post-deal investment management across AI, quantum/deep technology, healthcare and neuroscience. Its current public leadership directory names21 unique people across22 governance and strategy roles; service-team descriptions do not identify additional current individual staff. The Investment and New Ventures team manages university equity stakes and the University Challenge Seed Fund (UCSF) and Spinout Equity Management programme (SEM). UCSF’s published18.5MGBP cumulative project investments,2026 OrganOx-derived12.7MGBP boost and programme budgets are not external LP fund closes or amounts invested in a named company. The Parkwalk University of Oxford Innovation Funds are explicitly external EIS funds managed by Parkwalk; they are not silently attributed to OUI or treated as another OUI treasury buyer. OUI is explicitly named an OxfordVR2020A institutional investor, while the2018 issuer announcement names the University of Oxford separately; exact underlying subscription vehicle and allocation remain source-qualified. Licensing, creation of spinouts and university equity derived from intellectual property do not by themselves prove new cash investments.
