DeepWork Capital
DeepWork Capital is an Orlando-based early-stage venture capital firm investing in technology and life sciences, primarily in U.S. regions historically underserved by venture capital, including Florida and surrounding markets. The firm traces its history to 2015; the DeepWork Capital LLC adviser entity was established in January 2018. It targets seed and Series A companies and provides hands-on help with strategy, financing and operations. Co-founders and Managing Partners Mitchel Laskey, Ben Patz and Kathy Chiu lead a ten-person public team. Its portfolio includes industrial and enterprise AI, robotics, space technology and neurological drug-development companies, including Circuitry.AI, Caspia Technologies, Tompkins Robotics, X-Lumin, Astrocyte Pharmaceuticals and Myosin Therapeutics. Its March 2026 SEC adviser filing lists eight distinct fund vehicles. These include the FAN funds, DeepWork Fund III, a parallel fund and an Astrocyte vehicle; it also serves as investment adviser to the separately governed Florida Opportunity Fund. DeepWork Capital is investment sub-adviser to CNL Strategic Venture Capital, a distinct business development company. It participated in Rapta's $8 million financing announced September 2026.
