Myosin Therapeutics
Myosin Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company in Jupiter, Florida, developing small molecules that target molecular nanomotor proteins for oncology and central nervous system conditions. Founded in 2020 by Courtney A. Miller, Patrick R. Griffin and Theodore Kamenecka, it is a spinout of the institute now known as the Herbert Wertheim UF Scripps Institute. Its lead oncology program, MT-125, targets non-muscle myosin II and is being evaluated in the Phase 1/2 STAR-GBM trial for newly diagnosed glioblastoma; the company reported first-patient dosing in May 2026. MT-110 is being developed for methamphetamine use disorder. These therapies remain investigational. Founder, Chairperson and CEO Courtney Miller leads eleven publicly listed leadership members and five medical and scientific advisers. The current site lists Griffin and Kamenecka as founders, directors and CSOs. Myosin's first seed financing began in December 2022 and reached $2,999,986 in the March 2023 SEC amendment; its second seed round, announced February 2025, raised over $3 million. DeepWork Capital participated in both, and Mayo Clinic Ventures joined the second. NIH records identify four company grant project series with about $12.083 million in appropriations through fiscal 2026, including ongoing drug-development and clinical research programs. A separate $2 million Florida Cancer Innovation Fund award was announced in March 2026 for the STAR-GBM study. Research grants, clinical designations and conference participation are kept separate from equity financing and drug approval.
