Wicklow Capital is a US investment organization founded by Daniel Tierney. It combines venture capital investing with venture philanthropy, with stated interests in artificial intelligence, blockchain, climate and democracy. ISTA identified Wicklow as a seed investor in Syntropic Medical in April 2025. The same announcement described a EUR750,000 contribution to ISTA’s translational fellowship program and EUR300,000 intended for emerging startups. These program contributions do not disclose an investment amount for Syntropic Medical or the size of a Wicklow investment fund.
