Syntropic Medical

Syntropic Medical is a Klosterneuburg, Austria-based medical device company spun out of the Institute of Science and Technology Austria. It develops HAVEN, an investigational headset that delivers visual neuromodulation for research into major depressive disorder and neuroplasticity. Its founders are Mark Caffrey, Jack O’Keeffe, Alessandro Venturino and Sandra Siegert. The company announced undisclosed seven-figure early financing from XISTA Science Ventures and Austria Wirtschaftsservice in April 2024, followed by a separate EUR1.1 million FFG research grant in July 2024. HAVEN has not received regulatory clearance or approval.
