Ponderosa Ventures
Ponderosa Ventures is Galvanize’s pre-seed and seed investment strategy for climate technology in food, agriculture, oceans, water and forestry. It invests globally, with a focus on the US and Europe, and targets initial checks of USD100,000–750,000. Its portfolio includes AI-powered soil carbon measurement, vision models for manufacturing, spatial AI for forestry and autonomous agricultural robotics. Evi Steyer is co-founder and general partner; Chloë Payne and Anthony Cortese are principals, and Galvanize CEO Katie Hall serves on the investment committee. Ponderosa participated in Coolant’s financing announced in October 2025.
