Zebra Ventures
Lincolnshire, Illinois, United States
Zebra Ventures is the corporate venture capital arm of Zebra Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ: ZBRA), backing early-stage technology businesses relevant to industrial and enterprise operations. It focuses on automation, robotics, artificial intelligence, analytics, sensing and related technologies used in manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, retail and healthcare. The venture function took its current identity after Zebra’s October2014 acquisition of Motorola Solutions’ enterprise business, combining earlier Zebra investments with the transferred enterprise-oriented venture portfolio. Corporate investment professionals Tony Palcheck and Justin Merle are publicly identified by Zebra and corroborated by current issuer investment announcements and their own professional profiles. The arm provides strategic expertise, engineering access and commercial networks alongside investment capital. It is a corporate investing function rather than a separately verified external LP-backed fund; published target check ranges and portfolio asset values do not establish actual cash raised. Its primary portfolio includes Neurala, industrial robotics businesses and healthcare-workflow technology. It is distinct from Swiss Zebra Impact Ventures, UAE/Spanish firms using similar names, Zebra Medical Vision and insurance marketplace The Zebra.
