Spring Nordic
Roskilde, Denmark
Spring Nordic is a Danish early-stage investment and business-development organization legally constituted as Fonden Spring Nordic, a commercially operating foundation (CVR33145977), based in Roskilde. It invests foundation capital in innovative growth companies through equity and, where appropriate, loans including convertible instruments. Its primary materials describe a2021 merger with the former CAT Fonden. The foundation’s published governance archive links its own2018 history to Fonden CAPNOVA Invest Zealand; this is distinct from the retained CAPNOVA manager with CVR14353089, and no legal-manager merger is asserted. Its current focus includes enabling hardware, software, clean technology, green energy and ResilienceTech, spanning climate resilience, infrastructure protection and defence-related innovation. The published team consists of six employees or specialist advisers and four directors. It generally supports businesses with demonstrated commercial traction, and the current investment criteria describe typical DKK3–10million tickets, sometimes up toDKK15million; these are strategy ranges, not actual individual investments or fund closes. In addition to investing its own capital, Spring Nordic manages capital for the separate investment company Impagt Invest Sjælland A/S, equally owned by SJF Bank and Andel. Andel confirms DKK100million of cumulative actual working-capital contributions to that vehicle since its2020 establishment; this is corporate investment capital, not an external LP fund final close or capital owned by the foundation. Foundation assets, historical investment commitments, public-programme budgets and proposed funds are not treated as new venture-fund cash. Its historical deep-technology portfolio includes AddiFab and ophthalmic-laser company Norlase. The manager’s primary2019 AddiFab article establishes a pre-existing portfolio affiliation and separately reports Diamond Edge Ventures’ new investment. Its own2023 news summary says Spring Nordic first invested in AddiFab in2014, made follow-on investments through2017 and sold its shares in the2023 company acquisition. No2019 new Spring Nordic cash or acquisition consideration is invented as issuer financing.
