Oxford Endovascular Limited is a University of Oxford medical-device spinout founded in 2015. It develops OxiFlow, an origami-inspired nitinol flow-diverting stent for intracranial aneurysms, designed to improve placement, vessel conformity and blood-flow diversion. Its published leadership includes chairman Chas Taylor, clinical director James Byrne and technology director Zhong You. Co-founder Mike Karim is a former CEO; his current personal biography supersedes the older company directory, and the successor is unverified. Announced equity financing includes GBP2.5 million in May2018, a GBP7.5 million SeriesA in April2021 (also described as USD10 million, the same raise), and GBP8 million SeriesA+ in May2024. Separate support includes Horizon2020 grant859001, with a contracted EU contribution of EUR2,962,979.95, an awarded GBP350,000 InnovateUK SmartGrant and EUR500,000 from EITHealth’s 2020 grant-for-options rescue instrument. Grant awards and contracts do not establish payment.
