OSF Ventures
Peoria, Illinois, United States
Corporate venture investment unit of OSF HealthCare, operating within OSF Innovation in Peoria, Illinois. OSF Ventures invests in post-seed healthcare companies through investment syndicates and works with OSF clinicians and operating teams to test, refine and adopt technologies that may improve patient outcomes and patient experience or reduce the cost of care. Its focus includes health IT, medical devices, therapeutics, diagnostics and technology-enabled care delivery. Its AI and neuroscience portfolio includes autonomous diagnostic AI, wearable EEG and machine learning, bioelectronic medicine, migraine neuromodulation, AI-assisted clinical decisions and ultrasound imaging. The unit was founded in the last quarter of 2015 and began its first $75 million investment program in 2016. A second $75 million corporate fund launched in July 2019 and a third board-approved $100 million fund launched in January 2022, bringing the program’s reported capital under management to $250 million at that time. These are corporate capital allocations and fund launches, rather than asserted outside-LP fundraising closes. Its official portfolio separates direct companies, exited companies and investments as a limited partner in external healthcare funds. The current main-page team names seven people: vice president Mayank Taneja, directors Liridon Rrushaj and Ben Spektor, manager Danielle Kalinsky, senior venture analyst Samuel Martin, venture analyst Jeremy Snell and project assistant Elizabeth Eaker. The parent OSF HealthCare organization is preserved separately from this branded investment unit; the unit profile uses the authentic shared OSF HealthCare brand mark displayed on its own official page.
