MapLight Therapeutics is a clinical-stage neuroscience biotechnology company developing medicines for central nervous system disorders. Its discovery approach combines neural-circuit mapping, optogenetics and molecular profiling to identify disease-related circuits and targets for drug development. Programs include the investigational muscarinic-receptor combination ML-007C-MA for schizophrenia and Alzheimer’s disease psychosis and ML-004 for autism-related symptoms. Christopher Kroeger leads the company; scientific founders include Karl Deisseroth and Robert Malenka. Its public roster includes management, directors, scientific advisers and clinical advisers. MapLight began Nasdaq trading under MPLT on October 27, 2025. Financing includes a USD225 million Series C, a Series D with USD200 million actually raised against a larger announced commitment, an IPO with approximately USD288.36 million gross proceeds, a separate concurrent private placement of approximately USD8.10 million and a USD150 million PIPE announced in August 2026.
