Stellaromics
Stellaromics is a Boston-based life sciences technology company founded in 2022 to develop three-dimensional spatial multi-omics tools. Its Pyxa platform combines sample preparation, automated volumetric confocal imaging, molecular assays, data analysis and visualization to study gene expression and protein synthesis in intact tissue. The technology builds on STARmap and RIBOmap research from scientific co-founders Karl Deisseroth and Xiao Wang, with applications in neuroscience, cancer and immunology. Pyxa entered commercial deployment in 2026, with installations announced at research institutions in the United States and Europe. Todd Dickinson leads the company, Ye Fu is co-founder and chief scientific officer, and Mark Pratt is chief technology officer. Its public leadership includes computational biology and machine-learning expertise. Stellaromics announced a USD25 million Series A in November 2023 and a USD80 million Series B in February 2025. MapLight Therapeutics also received equity in exchange for transferring a STARmap license in October 2023; this was noncash consideration rather than a cash financing round.
