Floodgate
Floodgate is a Menlo Park, California-based venture capital firm backing founders at pre-seed and seed stages. Its portfolio spans artificial intelligence, enterprise software, healthcare, consumer technology, fintech and crypto. Its AI and deep-tech investments include Applied Intuition, Hebbia, SmarterDx, Aible and Hadrian. Mike Maples and Ann Miura-Ko are co-founding partners. The current team also includes partners Iris Choi and Mike Heller, finance and operations staff, and investment associates. Floodgate led Coolant’s pre-seed financing and participated in Applied Intuition’s USD40 million Series B announced in September 2019.
