Inscopix

Inscopix is a Mountain View, California-based neuroscience technology business acquired by Bruker in November 2022. Founded in 2011 by Kunal Ghosh, Mark Schnitzer and Abbas El Gamal to commercialize Stanford’s miniature microscope invention, it develops head-mounted fluorescence microscopes for recording neural-circuit activity in freely behaving animals. Its platforms support calcium imaging, optogenetics, blood-flow and neurotransmitter imaging, alongside neuroscience data analysis software and preclinical contract research services. Products include nVista, nVoke, nVue and nVista 2P, with the IDEAS platform supporting multimodal data management and analysis. Its public directory lists finance, translational science, commercial operations, customer-experience and data-product staff, but also retains historical leadership and board information. Founder and former CEO Kunal Ghosh has announced his departure from Bruker. Floodgate participated in seed financing in 2011; a USD10 million Series A announced August 25, 2016 was led by Playground, with AME Cloud Ventures and Floodgate participating. Bruker did not disclose acquisition financial terms.
