Austrian Research Promotion Agency FFG
Sensengasse 1, 1090 Vienna, Austria
The Austrian Research Promotion Agency FFG is Austria’s national funding institution for industry-related research, development and innovation. Its exact legal entity is Österreichische Forschungsförderungsgesellschaft mbH, registered FN252263a at the Vienna Commercial Court, headquartered at Sensengasse1,1090Vienna. Its official legal notice states it was established September1,2004 under the FFG Act and is wholly owned by the Republic of Austria. Shareholder rights are exercised by the Federal Ministry for Innovation, Mobility and Infrastructure and the Federal Ministry for Economy, Energy and Tourism. FFG is retained as an institutional organization, distinct from Austria Wirtschaftsservice, Austrian Science Fund FWF, EU grant agencies and unrelated companies using the FFG abbreviation. FFG funds, advises and connects innovative companies, universities and research institutions, evaluates research projects, and represents Austria in national and international bodies. Its published remit spans general company R&D, thematic and structural programmes, European and international programmes, and aeronautics and space. It acts as Austria’s national contact point for EU research programmes and interface to the European Space Agency. Support instruments differ by programme; research-result exploitation rights remain with recipients. Its relevance includes AI, deep technology, life sciences and neuroscience research commercialization, without implying that every project is an equity investment or an approved clinical product. The current German governance and leadership page identifies Henrietta Egerth and Karin Tausz as managing directors and Klaus Pseiner as supervisory chairman. The public governance and senior-management roster comprises31named people and32roles, including supervisory members, staff-council representatives, statutory consultative members, department heads and central-service heads. The English page retains outdated supervisory appointments and department roles; it is not used as the current-role authority. The wider staff directory is distinct from this published leadership/governance scope. Agency annual disbursements, appropriations, programme budgets and cumulative project support describe public research funding rather than private-LP fund closes or manager AUM. No closed venture fund is inferred. Brightmind’s own undated fundraising page reports cumulative EUR3.3million raised, including EUR2.4million non-dilutive support from FFG and aws together; it does not allocate an individual FFG ticket, award date or programme. Only a qualified non-dilutive support relationship is supported, not an additional EUR2.4million FFG-only cash award. The issuer’s legal-status/funding chronology remains subject to its separate company audit.
