reMYND

reMYND NV is a clinical-stage Belgian biotechnology company developing oral small molecules for neurodegenerative diseases. Founded in 2002 as a KU Leuven spin-off, it is registered under Belgian enterprise number BE0476.910.101 and is based at Gaston Geenslaan 1, Leuven. Its Alzheimer’s programme investigates septin modulation to restore calcium homeostasis and synaptic function. Lead candidate REM392 is investigational; the September2026 announcement plans a Phase1b patient study for early2027. Earlier REM127 Phase2a findings and exploratory AI digital-twin analyses do not establish approval or a proven cure. The Huntington’s candidate REM949 and mitochondrial-dysfunction discovery work remain development programmes. In March2025, reMYND sold its contract-research business to InnoSer to focus on proprietary drug development; older homepage CRO text is superseded by that transaction announcement. CEO Floor Stam was appointed in September2024; Gerard Griffioen is CSO. The current public directory names five operating leaders/advisers and seven board members, with Floor appearing in both groups. Former chair Johan Cardoen died in2025. KU Leuven’s September2026 interview separately confirms Joris Winderickx remains a scientific adviser after leaving the founding board. Completed announced equity comprises EUR12M SeriesB in December2018 and an additional EUR12M second close announced January21,2021; EUR24M is their aggregate, not a third raise. Investor PMV also documents an earlier convertible loan and a2022 syndicate financing with undisclosed amounts. On September21,2026, the company announced EUR3.5M strategic support from ADDF for REM392; ADDF project20731238 reports USD4,122,340 funding over September15,2026–March15,2028. These are source-specific representations of one programme award, not two cash raises. Instrument, disbursement and paid equity are unpublished, so structured cash amounts remain unknown. VLAIO/IWT and Michael J. Fox Foundation historical grant support is documented separately from equity; unspecified grant totals, license payments and the CRO sale price are not invented. BNP Paribas Fortis Private Equity’s own original credentials separately document two earlier equity investments inSeptember2009 andMay2016, corroborating the current bank portfolio’s2009 entry. These historical financings have undisclosed company totals, individual tickets, exact closing/announcement days and priced-series stages. They are distinct from the later2018 and2021 SeriesB closes; no parentbank, subsidiary or advisor-only cash duplication is inferred. The official ARKimedes-Fonds year-end2009 report additionally identifies Fortis Private Equity Arkimedes as the historical investing vehicle and records EUR750,000 cumulative investments in reMYND through December31,2009. This cumulative portfolio history is not assigned as the individual September2009 check or a further company round.
