4a technology GmbH is the Austrian parent company of the 4a engineering group, based in Traboch. The group develops technologies based on polymer materials, composites, lightweight construction and mechatronics for sustainable mobility, communications and vehicle safety. Its distinct operating businesses develop lightweight acoustic and structural sandwich materials, thin foam sheets and antenna radomes; robotic platforms and realistic targets for testing driver-assistance systems and autonomous driving; and materials-testing equipment, simulation services and software for characterizing materials and batteries. The parent company provides the group’s technology and corporate structure and is a registered shareholder in NanoVoxel, a separate precision micro-manufacturing company. Established in 2002, it is an operating technology group parent rather than an investment-fund manager.
