Oregon Nanoscience and Microtechnologies Institute (ONAMI)
Oregon Nanoscience and Microtechnologies Institute, known as ONAMI, is an Oregon nonprofit commercialization and early-stage investment organization supported by Business Oregon, Oregon Lottery funding and the federal SSBCI program. It helps research-based companies develop science and technology into investable businesses, particularly in advanced materials, electronics, optics, biomedical devices and other deep-tech sectors. Its July 2025–June 2027 Center of Innovation Excellence Collaborative Fund program anticipates seven to eight pre-seed and seed investments, typically through SAFEs, convertible notes or restricted stock purchases, supported by technical diligence and mentoring. Check ranges and planned activity are not a disclosed final fund size. Its public directories name eight staff members, including Executive Director Jay Lindquist, President and Chief Startup Officer Skip Rung, Vice President of Operations Danielle Clair, digital-media staff and entrepreneurs in residence. ONAMI is a named participant in Neurosom's January 2026 bridge financing and publishes a broader historical technology portfolio requiring individual issuer verification. Its team biography describes origins in 2003, while its FAQ gives a 2005 formation date; an exact legal founding year has not been assigned.
