Neurosom
Neurosom is a Eugene, Oregon neurotechnology company developing a precision brain-health platform combining EEG measurement, AI sleep-stage analysis and closed-loop transcranial electrical stimulation. Its wearable Sleep WISP is being studied for improving restorative sleep and related cognitive outcomes. NEAT, its neural-network EEG sleep-scoring software, has FDA 510(k) clearance under K250058, issued April 10, 2025 to affiliate Brain Electrophysiology Laboratory Company, LLC; this clearance is for the software's sleep-staging indications and does not establish approval of a dementia-prevention therapy. Neurosom was incorporated in Delaware on July 21, 2021 and licenses technology from BEL, a distinct affiliate under common control. Its public management team includes CEO Viral Sheth, Chairman and Chief Science Officer Don Tucker, CTO Phan Luu, Commercial Leader Dee Dee Nunes, CMO Corin Tucker and Accounting Manager Tess Pablo Teittinen. The company also explicitly identifies Mount Sinai researcher Allison C. Waters as a Medical Advisor. A January 6, 2026 release announced an oversubscribed bridge round approaching closing, led by Portland Seed Fund's Intrepid Oregon Fund with Loomis Family Trust, OEN Angel Syndicate and ONAMI participation. Its earlier Regulation Crowdfunding offering was conducted through Neurosom SPV, LLC. The January release's planned $5 million seed round is a fundraising target; a completed seed closing is not established by the reviewed sources. NIH grants for related sleep technology are awarded to BEL rather than directly to Neurosom.
