The University of Edinburgh’s venture investment operation, managed within its commercialisation service Edinburgh Innovations. Old College Capital invests in university-associated deep technology startups and spin-outs from pre-seed through Series A and reinvests returns under an evergreen model. OCC Launch offers early convertible investments of up to GBP100,000, while OCC Ventures typically makes initial investments of GBP150,000–350,000 alongside other investors. The team also manages the university’s founding shareholdings through OCC Equity; these licence-related stakes are distinct from cash investments.
