Mediolanum Farmaceutici
Milan, Italy
Mediolanum Farmaceutici S.p.A. is a privately owned Italian pharmaceutical holding and development group founded in Milan in 1972 by Rinaldo Del Bono. Its own legal disclosure identifies VAT/tax code 01689550158 and registered office Via San Giuseppe Cottolengo 15, Milan. It invests corporate resources in pharmaceutical research, licensing, co-development, acquisitions and strategic biotechnology stakes, with a current published emphasis on oncology and rare diseases. The pharmaceutical company is distinct from Mediolanum banking and asset-management businesses; no financial-manager merger is inferred from the shared name. Its historical scientific and commercial activities include cardiovascular treatments and a French expansion from 1990. Own history reports the 2020 ElsaLys Biotech acquisition for immuno-oncology development. Current published group structure names Istituto Gentili, Vamfarma, Laboratoires Leurquin and Mediolanum Biosciences, alongside property/hospitality businesses that are not treated as neuroscience portfolio companies. A 2022 transaction-party release separately confirms a retained significant minority interest in Neopharmed Gentili, a pharmaceutical business with neurology and cardiovascular products, after Ardian and NB Renaissance invested; family members’ separate personal stakes are not substituted for the corporate holding. The platform is a corporate investor, not a disclosed pooled venture fund. No corporate revenue, equity capital, partner fund assets, bond issued by a subsidiary or portfolio cash raise is imported as a new Mediolanum investment-fund close. The available own governance roster is the June 2020 published five-person board and three statutory auditors, recorded historically. Alessandro Del Bono’s group CEO role is additionally confirmed by its 2022 transaction partner, but exact current 2026 operating roster and tenure are unpublished. No genuine independently matched individual portraits were available from the reviewed own governance pages; no generic team photo or homonymous person image is substituted. Rinaldo Del Bono’s existing full biography, Acticor historical board affiliation and personal Investor10866/check remain unchanged. Source-proven corporate participation in Acticor’s June 2021 equity financing and March 2023 capital increase is separately linked after issuer verification; earlier licensing/co-development from 2016 does not prove a separate paid equity round. Acticor itself entered judicial liquidation in January 2025, so the holding’s historical investment is not a claim of current clinical efficacy or an approved stroke drug.
