Invest.BW
Rue Louis de Geer 2,1348 Louvain-la-Neuve,Belgium
Invest.BW is the Brabant Wallon regional investment and financing institution, formerly Nivelinvest. Its exact active Belgian legal entity is Société d’Investissement et de Financement du Brabant Wallon SA, enterprise number 0430.636.943, established March 5, 1987. The official register records the Invest.BW abbreviation from March 1, 2021. Its own privacy notice expressly bridges the current and former names. It is based at Rue Louis de Geer 2, Louvain-la-Neuve, and is distinct from the intermunicipal utilities institution in BW and similarly named commercial funds. The current website reports shareholding of 49% Wallonie Entreprendre, 25% Ackermans & Van Haaren, 25% IBA and small minority holdings by Fidagh and FIB/Jema/Euranova. It supports regional innovative SMEs from prototype and commercialization through scale-up, growth and succession. Its published themes include medtech, deeptech, digital technology and transition. It offers minority equity, convertible and subordinated loans, and economic-property leasing through the separate Lease.BW subsidiary. Its typical investment horizon is five to ten years and its stated maximum intervention per company is EUR2.5 million. These policy limits are neither individual disclosed tickets nor a newly raised fund. Its current public roster comprises seven staff members and eleven board members, chaired by Pierre Mottet representing Saint-Denis SA. Xavier Bocquet is Director General and Corinne Estiévenart Deputy Director General. The current Belgian register independently confirms the named statutory directors and permanent representatives. The institutional Wallonie Entreprendre observer is not invented as a natural-person employee. Older web pages retain historic board and executive rosters; those are distinguished from the current directory and registry. B2Start Innovation et Croissance SA, abbreviated B2Start IC, is a separate active managed investment vehicle, enterprise number 1010.674.375, incorporated June24,2024. The manager says it was endowed with approximately EUR7.8 million of ERDF and Walloon programme resources for 2021–2027. This is public programme capital, not an asserted external LP close or exact cash receipt. The earlier active B2Start SA, enterprise number0669.955.343, incorporated January25,2017, is separately identified in the historical subsidiary material and official register; it is not renamed into the2024vehicle. Fund amount and close date remain unknown where exact completed figures are unproven. Lease.BW, enterprise number0432.218.835, is a separate leasing company, not another LP venture fund. The register also records the absorption of regional financing entities in2016 and Start Up0460.291.031 in2021, preserving legal continuity without inventing new fundraising. The current published portfolio includes Synergia Medical, Sunrise, Curewiki, Quantum BioVenture Studio, N-SIDE, Vocsens, Secoya Technologies, Agricells, Spentys and other technology businesses. These are primary portfolio relationships; exact event allocation, security form and tickets require issuer financing evidence rather than assumptions from logos. Synergia Medical’s issuer specifically confirms Invest BW as a new participant in its additional EUR3.8 million Series B announced January18,2023. Historic financial-intervention lists include CluePoints, Axinesis, iSTAR Medical, Intopix and Novadip, but may cover loans or subsidiary interventions and are not automatically attributed as direct new equity checks. No balance-sheet capital, aggregate deployed amount, investment target or public-programme allocation is recorded as a newly completed external fund close.
