It takes an operator-focused approach and backs founders across industries and geographies, particularly entrepreneurial communities outside traditional venture hubs. The firm states that it invests up to $1.5 million at preseed and seed stages. Its public portfolio includes AI businesses EnFi, Evergrowth, Lumi and Threes AI, microelectronics company Innovation Semiconductor, space technology company TRL11 and virtual sleep-care provider Ognomy Sleep. Its team page lists founder David Brown, Phil Beauregard, Tariq Trotter and operations specialist Montinique Kniffen, together with a separate network of venture advisers. Its March 2026 SEC adviser filing identifies the legal manager as Impellent Ventures, LLC and David Taylor Brown as CEO and manager, with Philip Harrison-Beauregard also a manager. Impellent led Ognomy's $1.575 million Series Seed Preferred financing announced August 2024 and participated in its $20 million Series A announced June 2026.
