First Citizens Innovation Banking
Santa Clara, California, United States
First Citizens Innovation Banking is the technology and healthcare commercial-banking division of First-Citizens Bank & Trust Company. The division officially launched this name on 6 October 2026, replacing the post-acquisition Silicon Valley Bank Technology & Healthcare Banking division brand. First Citizens acquired the Silicon Valley Bridge Bank loan and deposit business effective 27 March 2023 following the original Silicon Valley Bank failure. This unit is a commercial lender and banking provider for startups and growth companies in artificial intelligence, enterprise software, frontier technology, life sciences and healthcare; its services include venture debt, working-capital finance, treasury and international banking. Marc Cadieux is its president. The separately launched First Citizens Fund Banking division serves private-equity and venture-capital firms and is not represented as this unit’s staff or independent VC fund. Positive Development names the bank’s then-SVB division and Pinegrove Venture Partners as lenders in an up-to-USD45 million growth facility announced 13 January 2026; fresh proceeds, drawn cash and lender-specific allocations are undisclosed. This unit is distinct from the failed pre-2023 Silicon Valley Bank, historical SVB Financial Group, SVB Capital, Pinegrove Venture Partners and their separately constituted credit funds. Bank assets, deposits, client funds and lending commitments are not closed LP fund capital. Published current leadership and sector/research staff are source-qualified; no exhaustive private employee directory or bank-wide parent roster is asserted.
