Asahi Kasei Ventures is the corporate venture capital program of Asahi Kasei, a Japanese group active in materials, homes and healthcare. It invests in startups and supports joint development with the group’s operating businesses to create new commercial opportunities. Its portfolio spans biotechnology, medical devices, digital health, semiconductors, industrial software, construction technology, climate technology and advanced materials. The program invests across company stages through teams in the United States, Europe, China and Japan, with healthcare work including rare-disease drug developer Glycomine. Its published team includes professionals from affiliated Asahi Kasei Therapeutics/Veloxis Pharmaceuticals and Homes Ventures. The program is distinct from the parent corporation and from any individual corporate investing subsidiary or pharmaceutical business.
