Asahi Kasei Therapeutics Corp. is the Japanese pharmaceutical operating company of the Asahi Kasei group, formerly named Asahi Kasei Pharma Corporation. It researches, develops, manufactures and markets medicines, with work in orthopedics, critical and intensive care, immunology, urology and central nervous system diseases. Its pharmaceutical corporate venture capital program, established in 2018, invests in early therapeutic pipelines and drug-discovery platforms and supports potential collaborations with biotechnology companies, including Glycomine. The company was established in October 2003 and adopted its current name in April 2026. It is a distinct legal company from Asahi Kasei’s parent corporation and the pharmaceutical operations in the United States and Europe that adopted the shared Asahi Kasei Therapeutics brand in September 2026.
