Third Wave Ventures is a venture investment firm founded in1996 and headquartered in Beverly Hills, California, with a published office in Beijing. It incubates seed-stage companies in foundational deep technologies, including semiconductors, photonics, clean energy and the Internet of Things. Its committed-capital approach provides sustained funding partnerships to entrepreneurs and brings in selected strategic investors in later rounds. Its own published portfolio names Innovent Systems, acquired by Broadcom; Neven Vision, acquired by Google; Ostendo; and Ingenu. Neven Vision supplies a historical computer-vision connection, while the current explicit firm thesis centers on hardware and deep technology.
