TRexBio
TRexBio is a South San Francisco clinical-stage biotechnology company developing medicines that act on tissue regulatory T cells to restore immune balance and support tissue repair in autoimmune and inflammatory disease. Its Deep Biology platform combines human tissue samples, single-cell gene-expression mapping, computational biology and functional genomics to discover and validate therapeutic targets. The company's pipeline includes TNFR2 agonist TRB-061 in clinical development for atopic dermatitis and additional tissue-directed immunoregulatory programs. Founded and seed funded by SV Health Investors in 2018, it announced a USD59 million Series A in June 2021, increased to USD85 million after a March 2022 extension. Its USD84 million Series B announced in November 2024 was funded in two closings in November 2024 and March 2025; a separate USD50 million Series B extension closed in January 2026. Johnston Erwin is CEO and became board chair in October 2026, with Carol Gallagher serving as lead independent director. Six directors have announced resignations immediately before IPO registration effectiveness.
