Sequana Medical
Sequana Medical NV is a Belgian medical-technology company that developed treatments for fluid overload associated with liver disease, heart failure and cancer when diuretics are ineffective or unsuitable. Its alfapump is an implanted, wirelessly charged device that transfers ascites fluid from the abdomen to the bladder for removal through urination. The company received U.S. FDA approval for recurrent or refractory ascites caused by liver cirrhosis in December 2024.
