Reyedar develops SONDA, an eye-tracking platform that measures visual function while a patient follows a moving target. Wearable infrared sensors record gaze and eye movement, and its software analyzes the signals to produce a clinical visual-function report without button presses. The system combines eye-movement perimetry and oculomotor assessment for use in optometry practices and ophthalmology clinics. Reyedar identifies SONDA software as a CE-marked Class IIa medical device under the EU Medical Device Regulation, intended to detect visual function loss as an aid in diagnosing and staging primary open-angle glaucoma in adults; the hub is Class I hardware. Its functional oculomics research investigates eye-movement biomarkers in conditions such as spinocerebellar ataxia and acquired brain injury. Those applications remain research and are outside SONDA’s cleared clinical use. Reyedar B.V., formerly Reperio Medtech, is a spin-off of the University Medical Center Groningen.
