Investment-fund research reviewed 2026-10-06. Publicly identified funds, dates, amounts and fundraising status are below. Undisclosed commitments remain unknown; this is not a complete register of private SPVs or parallel entities.
Fund size and stages
| Vehicle / metric | Evidence and date | Interpretation and limits |
|---|---|---|
| capital300 / first fund, 2017 inception | [Issuer press release, December 19, 2017](https://www.ots.at/presseaussendung/OTS_20171219_OTS0020/venture-capital-fonds-capital300-startet-first-closing-mit-ueber-20-millionen-euro ): first close above **€20 million**, then expected €40–60 million | First close and future fundraising ambition, not final size. |
| First fund, later close | [capital300 issuer release, January 15, 2019](https://www.presseportal.de/pm/133353/4166107 ): headline closing **US$50 million**, text more than US$50 million, with approximately **€45 million** parenthetical. [Brutkasten, same date](https://brutkasten.com/artikel/capital300-50-mio-us-dollar ) explicitly describes final closing at about US$50 million. | Historical closed first fund, approximately US$50 million; euro amount is the publisher's contemporary equivalent. Proposed US$100–120 million alongside co-investors is combined deployment capacity, not this fund's own size. |
| **3VC II / 2022 vintage**, €150 million | [Official launch article, June 15, 2022](https://three.vc/blog/3vc-2/ ) supports Fund II launch and first-closing context; [VC Magazin, June 15, 2022](https://www.vc-magazin.de/blog/2022/06/15/3vc-legt-zweiten-fonds-mit-zielvolumen-von-150-mio-eur-auf/ ) explicitly calls **€150 million the target** at first close. | Record as announced/target €150 million with first close confirmed; first-close amount and dated final-close amount were not established. Do not automatically encode €150 million as final closed. |
| Later Fund II retrospective | [Founding partner Peter Lasinger, December 1, 2025](https://www.lasinger.net/p/it-is-impossible-to-time-a-fund ) says Fund II launched in 2022 and reached **US$150 million** in an English translation of a German interview. | Supports an approximately 150 million fund scale but conflicts on currency with the euro launch evidence. It is not a dated final-close announcement and should not resolve the conflict by itself. |
| Current maximum ticket | [Official homepage](https://three.vc/ ), undated | **Up to €10 million per ticket**; this is a check-size ceiling, not fund size or AUM. Minimum ticket and typical initial ticket not confirmed. |
Fund II is the latest vehicle supported by credible fund-launch evidence found in searches including Fund III, 2025/2026 fundraising and final close. No reliable Fund III announcement or aggregate AUM figure was established. A [Pipeseed listing](https://pipeseed.com/investor/3vc-694399 ), undated, asserts a €150 million “Fund III”; this is unsupported by the official material checked and should not be imported. The [Austrian FMA foreign-AIF register](https://www.fma.gv.at/wp-content/uploads/dynamic-downloads/auslaendAIF.pdf ), undated live document/search-index accessible on the research date, identifies **3VC II SCSp**; its distribution-start/end dates are regulatory marketing dates, not fund-close dates, and it does not establish fund size.
The [current homepage](https://three.vc/ ), undated, specifies Europe, product-market-fit signals, and DACH, CEE and Southern Europe. The [June 15, 2022 strategy article](https://three.vc/blog/3vc-2/ ) explicitly prioritises Series A and reserves capacity to support Series B and C. Historical seed investments below demonstrate exceptions; they do not establish a broad current pre-seed mandate. Sector scope is software across industries, rather than a dedicated hardware/neurotech fund.

Imported completed research. Baseline Adex/Signal statements describe prior state, not independent verification. Retain cited attribution, date, currency and classification caveats.
| **Assaia** | Camera-based machine learning/computer vision recognising aircraft-turnaround events on airport aprons. Applied industrial AI; whether it meets a stricter scientific deep-tech threshold merits reviewer judgment. | [Official 3VC portfolio profile](https://three.vc/portfolio/assaia/ ), undated, confirms portfolio attribution and technology. Exact entry round/date/check not established. The page records exit to Armira Growth in **November 2025**. |
Authenteq, Nethone, Pactum, Stelia and Tatum are additional technical leads in the baseline/current portfolio, but a portfolio description or AI/blockchain label alone is insufficient to establish a research-intensive deep-tech classification. Storyblok, Lokalise, fundcraft and general creative/workforce SaaS are not counted as deep tech in this assessment.
**Emmi exit update:** [Mistral's May 23, 2026 announcement](https://mistral.ai/news/accelerate-ai-native-industry/ ) describes a definitive acquisition agreement. [Mistral's later Munich announcement](https://mistral.ai/news/hallo-deutschland/ ), published **September 28, 2026** and directly read, explicitly says it acquired Emmi in **May 2026**. Thus acquisition is supported beyond the initial signing announcement. Exit value and 3VC proceeds were not verified; investment in Emmi should not be transformed into a claimed direct investment in Mistral.
## Previous neurotech investments
**No verified neurotech investment found in the sources checked.** Searches covered 3VC plus neurotech/brain/neuroscience, its official portfolio, Adex baseline and Signal starting profiles. This is a bounded search result, not proof that the firm has never made a neural-technology investment.
**Kaia Health is an adjacent health-tech investment, not verified direct neurotechnology.** It provides app-based musculoskeletal/COPD rehabilitation and machine-learning-guided movement interventions, including psychological support. Those features do not establish a brain-computer interface, neural sensing or neuromodulation product. The [company's April 29, 2021 announcement](https://kaiahealth.com/blog/kaia-health-series-c/ ) names **3VC** among existing investors participating in the **US$75 million Series C**. [3VC's Kaia portfolio page](https://three.vc/portfolio/kaia-health/ ), undated, confirms attribution and an exit to Sword Health in **January 2026**. Ahead Health's preventive care and Avi Medical's primary-care services likewise do not establish neurotech.
Kaia dates need care: [another company newsroom page](https://kaiahealth.com/newsroom/press-releases/kaia-health-raises-dollar75-million-series-c-to-optimize-msk-and-copd-care-in-the-u-s-and-europe/ ) displays April 5, 2021, while the announcement body above says April 29, its blog byline says May 20, 2021, and 3VC's Kaia page links an April 28 article. These are announcement, republication and index/display dates rather than interchangeable transaction dates. Preserve April 2021 as the robust common period unless reconciling the original release timestamp. The US$75 million is the whole round, not 3VC's contribution.
## Conflicts, gaps and later Adex review
- Retain exact ID `Record3VC`; use name 3VC and capital300 as historical branding. Do not confuse this firm with FJ Labs 3VC LLC, other numbered firms, or a supposed Credo Ventures spinout.
- Correct location and current Eva Arh title using official evidence (the saved Adex role also says principal); Signal remains useful but its heading/title and personal check ranges should not override firm sources.
- Keep 2017 founding/first-close evidence distinct from official retrospective references to starting in 2018, which may refer to investment operations. Do not silently change the founding year to 2018.
- Fund II: €150 million launch target, first close confirmed, final close amount/date not resolved. The translated 2025 US-dollar statement is a currency conflict, not a basis for a precise current AUM number.
- Add supported named historical investment evidence without inventing check amounts or deriving round dates from undated portfolio snapshots. Distinguish initial investment from follow-on and exited positions.
- Mark direct neurotech as unverified. Kaia's computer vision and mental-health support are health-tech adjacency; Emmi's neural networks are physics AI, not biological neural technology.
- Partners' past firm/personal investments and acquisition exposure through Snyk/Mistral/Animoca are not direct new investments by 3VC. Individual fund allocation for the transactions above remains unspecified.
All undated official portfolio, homepage, imprint, Signal and social pages were accessed **2026-10-06**. Dated publications are identified next to their supporting claims. Findings are research for later review only.
Access limitation on resumed verification: the 2019 Presseportal release returned an internal retrieval error; the directly read Brutkasten report independently supports the approximately US$50 million final first-fund close. Signal profiles and the other core official sources cited above were directly readable. SHOW MORE

- Exact Adex ID: `Record3VC`

- Research date and access date for all web sources: **2026-10-06**
- Status: research complete; no Adex/database changes made.
3VC is a Vienna-based European software investor, historically branded capital300. Its strategy centres on Series A companies with evidence of product-market fit, with selective seed investments and follow-on support. Verified research-intensive investments include Emmi AI, Darmstadt Graphics Group and DeepCode; no direct neurotechnology investment was verified. The often-cited €150 million Fund II figure needs a target/close qualification. This file preserves the earlier interrupted research and was rechecked against Signal, official portfolio and strategy pages, acquisition announcements and fund reporting on the research date.
## Starting evidence: Adex and NFX Signal
The exact-ID snapshot `data/research/_sources/Record3VC.adex.json`, retrieved through read-only Adex MCP Search on 2026-10-06, identifies 3VC as founded in 2017, located in Vienna, and focused on European Series A companies. It has null check-size fields and 24 portfolio participations without amounts or dates. These are imported portfolio claims, not independently verified rounds. Baseline examples include Assaia, Kaia Health, Lokalise, Picsart, Storyblok, Tatum, DGG, DeepCode, Emmi AI, Nethone, Authenteq, Stelia and Pactum.
[NFX Signal's firm page](https://signal.nfx.com/firms/3vc ) was directly read on 2026-10-06. Its Series A description and 2017 founding year resemble Adex, so agreement is not independent corroboration. Signal places New York in its heading and lists New York, Vienna, Germany and Austria as locations. The [official imprint](https://three.vc/imprint/ ) instead identifies **3VC Partners GmbH**, Vienna addresses and Austrian commercial register number 520866f. Do not adopt New York as verified headquarters.
[Eva Arh's Signal profile](https://signal.nfx.com/investors/eva-arh ), directly read, shows Principal, a $100,000–$5 million investor range, $1.5 million sweet spot, €150 million current fund and seed/Series A/Series B sector tags. Its experience section also contains Partner. These investor-level values are not firm policy. The [official homepage/team listing](https://three.vc/ ) now calls Arh Partner; the [official June 15, 2022 Fund II article](https://three.vc/blog/3vc-2/ ) explains her promotion. Signal should be treated as a discovery source with stale or internally inconsistent titles.
## Fund size and stages
## Previous deep-tech investments
Amounts below are **company round totals**, not 3VC checks. Classification is analytical: research-intensive technology is distinguished from ordinary SaaS.
| Company | Technology and firm attribution | Round / date / source |
|---|---|---|
| **Emmi AI** | Physics AI models for computational fluid dynamics, multiphysics and solid mechanics; a strong deep-tech example. 3VC explicitly confirms its investment alongside Speedinvest, Serena and PUSH. | **€15 million seed**, announced **April 25, 2025**. [3VC investment rationale, April 25, 2025](https://three.vc/blog/why-we-invested-in-emmi-ai/ ); [3VC's own investment post](https://www.linkedin.com/posts/three-vc_proud-to-announce-our-investment-in-emmi-activity-7321446309574397953-9eoc ) says it led the round alongside the other named funds. [DORDA transaction press release, December 29, 2025](https://chambers.com/articles/dorda-advises-emmi-ai-gmbh-on-the-largest-seed-financing-round-in-austrian-venture-capital-history ) names 3VC and confirms €15 million seed; DORDA advised the company, so this is a transaction-participant source rather than independent reporting; the later publication date is not the funding date. |
| **Darmstadt Graphics Group (DGG / RapidCompact)** | Fraunhofer research spinout commercialising automated geometry/3D-data optimisation for web, AR/VR and real-time graphics. The firm explicitly claims a July 2020 seed investment. | [3VC portfolio profile](https://three.vc/portfolio/dgg/ ), undated: seed in **July 2020**, co-investors Charlie Songhurst and FTTF. [Company announcement, July 20, 2023](https://www.rapidcompact.com/dgg-raises-4m/ ): **€4 million** follow-on round led by IRIS with existing investors **3VC**, RenderedVC, FTTF and angels. Announcement does not give a stage label for that later round; do not invent one. |
| **DeepCode** | AI-based code analysis built on research in program analysis/learning from open-source code. More technically grounded than generic developer SaaS, although the funding source alone does not establish scientific novelty. | [3VC profile](https://three.vc/portfolio/deepcode/ ), undated: explicit **August 2019 seed** investment with Earlybird; no 3VC check or round total confirmed here. Profile records exit to **Snyk in September 2020**. This does not make subsequent Snyk financing a direct 3VC investment. | SHOW MORE
