QT Sense
Groningen, Netherlands
QT Sense develops Quantum Nuova, a benchtop quantum-sensing microscope for studying free-radical activity in living cells and tissues. The platform uses fluorescent nanodiamonds containing nitrogen-vacancy centers, confocal optics and T1 relaxometry to measure local magnetic noise associated with oxidative stress. Its Quantum Pulse software controls acquisition, sensor relocation and analysis so researchers can observe cellular responses to drugs over time. The company serves academic and pharmaceutical research, including drug discovery, oncology, infectious disease and neurodegeneration. Its neurological research applications investigate oxidative stress in neurons and glia and potential responses to neuroprotective drugs in conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and ALS. These are research applications and development aims; the cited sources do not establish regulatory clearance for diagnosing patients. QT Sense B.V. was founded in 2024 as a spin-out from the University Medical Center Groningen.
