Pluvia Biotech
Pluvia Biotech is a University of Bergen spin-out developing medicines for rare genetic disorders caused by misfolded proteins. Its lead candidate, PBAS499, is an oral pharmacological chaperone designed to stabilize the phenylalanine hydroxylase enzyme and restore its activity in phenylketonuria (PKU), a metabolic disorder in which excess phenylalanine can damage the brain. The company is completing preclinical work and preparing for clinical development, while seeking to apply its protein-stabilization platform to other rare diseases.
