NeuroBell
NeuroBell is an Irish medical-device and AI neurotechnology company developing portable neonatal electroencephalography monitoring and automated seizure alerts for neonatal intensive care units. NeuroBell Limited is the Irish legal company, CRO743738 and VATIE4169254PH, based in Ballincollig, Cork; its own footer also identifies a US NeuroBell Inc. office in Fort Wayne without establishing that entity as the subscriber or issuer of every funding transaction. Founders Mark O’Sullivan, Alison O’Shea and Colm Murphy emerged from University College Cork and the INFANT Research Centre. Research began in2015, an Enterprise Ireland university commercialisation project ran in2021–2022, and the company’s own history dates spinout and EUR2.1M seed funding to2023; UCC announced that same closed round January8,2024. The Luna system combines a wireless EEG amplifier, web-based EEG review software and an Incereb Neon10 headcap. Deep-learning seizure detection and annotated neonatal EEG data are described by the developer; clinical accuracy or improved patient outcomes are not independently asserted here. Its current product page expressly says the product is not available for commercial sale, and its story says FDA clearance and US launch are anticipated in2026 while clinical validation/regulatory submission continue. Those expectations are not marketing authorization. ISO13485 certification is the company’s stated quality-management status, not product clearance. Eighteen named current leadership, advisers and staff are published. A USD5.5M round announced June30,2026 supports US expansion; the reported EUR4.8M equivalent is not a separate raise. University research grants, clinical partnerships and a Parkview pilot competition prize are distinct from company equity cash.
