Morgan Health

Washington, D.C., United States

Morgan Health is JPMorganChase’s healthcare investment and innovation business unit, rather than a standalone incorporated fund manager. Its current site identifies the legal parent as JPMorgan Chase Bank, NA. Led by CEO Dan Mendelson, the Washington, D.C.-headquartered unit works to improve the quality, affordability and equity of US employer-sponsored healthcare through balance-sheet investments, data science, accountable-care initiatives and evaluation of health benefits. Its focus spans primary care and navigation, data analytics, new coverage options, specialty and at-home care, and pharmacy. Its neuroscience-related investments include Cortica, a provider of integrated medical and developmental care for autistic and neurodivergent children; its data-science team also works on healthcare data and AI policy and supports investment diligence. The current portfolio directory lists twelve companies, including Cortica, Thyme Care, Centivo, Devoted, Aradigm, Merative, Personify Health, Mosaic Health, Quantum Health, Kindbody, Fuze Health and Lantern. Morgan Health launched in May 2021 with authorization to invest up to $250M of JPMorganChase capital. This allocation is not an externally raised fund, a final fund close or current assets under management. On November 20, 2024, Morgan Health co-led Cortica’s actual $80M financing with Nexus NeuroTech Ventures; the unit’s individual investment amount was undisclosed. The InvestmentFirm classification here identifies the corporate investment platform and does not imply separate legal incorporation.
