May Health develops the Anavi System, a medical device intended to restore natural ovulation in women with infertility associated with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). The one-time, ultrasound-guided procedure uses radiofrequency energy to ablate targeted ovarian tissue, aiming to reduce ovarian androgen production. It is being evaluated for women who do not respond to, cannot use, or decline first-line ovulation-induction therapies. The system received European CE certification under the EU Medical Device Regulation in October 2025. In the United States it remains investigational: the company is enrolling its randomized REBALANCE pivotal IDE trial to support a future application for FDA marketing authorization. European commercialization is being planned; CE certification does not establish US marketing approval. The company evolved through Sofinnova MD Start, previously operated as Ablacare, and has teams in Paris and Menlo Park.
