MKT1 Capital
MKT1 Capital is an early-stage B2B venture investment platform co-founded by former marketing leaders Emily Kramer and Kathleen Estreich. It combines capital with hands-on marketing and go-to-market support. Its own current site says it stopped making new investments in summer 2024 and continues supporting its existing portfolio; its newsletter/advising site describes follow-on investments only. Emily now focuses on MKT1’s newsletter, advising and personal angel investing, while the fund site identifies Kathleen’s subsequent Pear affiliation. Those activities and personal checks are separate from fund investing. Published investments span AI software, developer tools, fintech, health technology and enterprise applications. The portfolio directory distinguishes Fund I from the MKT1 syndicate, which invested in Clay, Mutiny, Practice and Pulley. The founders’ February 2023 announcement reported nearly USD5M raised and a USD10M target, rather than a completed USD10M close. Fund I’s July 2025 SEC amendment reports USD5,878,530 actually sold to 149 investors with zero remaining in that offering. Its legal vehicle was formed in 2021 and first sold interests in November 2021, distinct from the founders’ stated 2022 platform launch. Belltower’s Seattle filing address and administrative GP roles do not establish a separate operating headquarters or investment staff.
