Lundbeckfonden (Lundbeck Foundation)
Copenhagen, Denmark
Lundbeckfonden, the Lundbeck Foundation, is a Danish enterprise foundation established by Grete Lundbeck under statutes dated March4,1954, registered CVR11814913 and supervised by the Danish Business Authority. It funds Danish-based biomedical research, with a strong focus on neuroscience, clinical brain disorders, scientific talent and the Brain Prize. Its current public organisation publishes sixty operational staff and thirteen board members. The foundation wholly owns the legally distinct investment holding company Lundbeckfond Invest A/S, CVR21855545; strategic ownership, financial investments and BioCapital biotechnology investment operate within that holding structure. BioCapital’s predecessor EMERGE and the pharmaceutical manufacturer H. Lundbeck A/S are not the same legal foundation. Research grant awards, actual grant payouts, net wealth, investment portfolio market values and external fund closes are distinct measures; none is substituted as issuer equity financing or an LP fund raise.
