Howdy Partners
Durango, Colorado, United States
Howdy Partners is a Durango-based early-stage venture firm established in 2018 as Greater Colorado Venture Fund (GCVF), which adopted its current name on September 10, 2025. The same team backs founders in rural and overlooked Colorado communities across AI, enterprise software, robotics, aerospace and agricultural technology. Its legal manager is Greater Colorado Ventures, LLC, identified in its March 12, 2026 Form ADV as an SEC exempt reporting adviser (CRD323465, file802-126968) with Howdy Partners as an additional trading name. Cory Finney and Marc Nager are founders and managing partners; Jamie Finney is a founder and venture partner, and Kiki Hooton leads community and events. Meritage Accounting Group supplies external fund administration and back-office services, rather than being an individual employee. The manager oversees separately documented Greater Colorado Venture Fund I and II limited partnerships: its own announcement confirms a USD17.5M Fund I raise in 2018 and a USD25M Fund II close announced January 25, 2023. Fund assets, LP commitments and cumulative portfolio deployments are distinct from closed fundraising. Primary issuer evidence confirms GCVF invested in AI infrastructure company Kamiwaza; its current portfolio also identifies space propulsion, autonomous farming, pediatric mental-health and cybersecurity companies. The original GCVF name is an alias of this firm, not a second investor.
