Guido Fluri Foundation

Cham, Zug, Switzerland

The Guido Fluri Foundation is a self-financed Swiss philanthropic foundation established by entrepreneur Guido Fluri in 2010. Its registered legal name is Guido Fluri-Stiftung, UID CHE-115.861.632, with its registered office in Cham, Canton Zug and federal foundation supervision. Its own history dates its establishment to 21 July 2010. It pursues three related purposes: helping children grow up without violence, supporting the social participation of people with schizophrenia and their family caregivers, and improving access to information, research and treatment for people with rare brain tumours, particularly acoustic neuroma. Activities include patient information and self-help through the acoustic-neuroma community, financial support for neurological research and patient care, the KESCHA advice service, the Living with Schizophrenia initiative, child-protection reporting services, historical research into institutional care, the Mümliswil memorial and the European Justice Initiative. The foundation states that it finances its projects without external fundraising; no public exact endowment, assets-under-management figure or closed LP fund is inferred. Its neuroscience and deep-technology investment relevance is concrete: machineMD explicitly identifies the foundation as lead investor in its CHF3.2M seed financing announced 6 September 2022 for AI- and virtual-reality-assisted neuro-ophthalmological diagnostics. This is an institutional foundation investment, distinct from an individual Guido Fluri check, a foundation research grant or the conversion of machineMD’s earlier financing. Current legal leadership comprises founder and president Guido Fluri, vice-president Tânia Fluri-Simão and board member Bruno Frick, the social educator and former KESCHA leader. Official Swiss Gazette notices appoint Tânia in December 2024 and remove Antonia Bissig in September 2026, overriding the foundation website’s older imprint. Nik Schwab is the external media officer through Branson Kirk. Published earlier affiliations of Antonia Bissig, historian Thomas Huonker and brain-tumour ambassador Tanja Gutmann are qualified historically. The foundation is recorded as a nonprofit organization with an Investor identity for its documented company investment, rather than as a commercial venture-capital fund manager.
