D3 (Dare to Defend Democracy) is an early-stage venture investor founded in 2023 by Eveline Buchatskiy, Anton Verkhovodov and Elya Chiechienieva. Operating from Ukraine and bridging its startup ecosystem with NATO allies, it backs deep technologies for national security, including artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, drones, electronic warfare, sensors, mission systems and demining. D3 currently advertises initial investments of $500,000–$1.5 million at pre-seed and seed, using equity or convertible instruments and offering follow-on capital and operational support. Its published portfolio includes TYTAN Technologies, Swarmer, Buntar Aerospace, Ailand Systems, Cambridge Aerospace, Agon and Neros. Denmark’s EIFO joined as a fund investor in July 2025. D3 Fund, LP is separately identified in EIFO’s public disclosures; an individual LP investment and reported fundraising targets do not establish the fund’s final closing size. The current published team has four members.
