CLSA, currently branded CITIC CLSA, is a Hong Kong capital-markets and investment platform established in 1986. It operates across Asia, Australia, Europe and the Americas, providing institutional equities, corporate finance, capital markets, research, asset management and related services. The platform is part of CITIC Securities International, which acquired CLSA in 2013 and integrated the businesses under the CLSA brand in 2017. CLSA Limited and its holding company CLSA B.V. are distinct from the parent and from separately named affiliated managers. Akili’s August 9, 2018 issuer announcement explicitly names CLSA as an investor in its USD 13M Series C extension; the historical subscribing CLSA legal vehicle and individual check are unpublished. CLSA is not assigned an inferred 2021 Akili Series D investment. Current group and investment-division leadership are recorded with unit-specific qualifications. CITIC Securities CLSA Capital Partners is the separate alternative-investment business, while CITIC Securities Asset Management (HK), formerly CLSA Asset Management, manages public-market products. Their fund strategies, approximately USD 5B alternative assets under management, parent bond programmes and advisory mandates are not recorded as CLSA fund closes or allocated to its historical Akili check. Its own October11,2018 announcement identifies AlphaLabs as a new fintech investment business focused on AI, automation, data and related technologies, and confirms investments in Epistema inOctober2018 and Symphony Communication Services inApril2018.
