BrainZell
BrainZell is a Stockholm biotechnology company developing human brain organoids for CNS drug discovery and safety testing. Its platform grows three-dimensional brain models from induced pluripotent stem cells, including neural and immune-system components, and produces them in an automated robotic laboratory. It combines high-throughput experiments, live phenotypic measurements and computational modelling to identify biological mechanisms, drug targets, efficacy and side effects. Patient-derived models and neuroinflammation assays support research into conditions including Alzheimer’s disease and help researchers develop human-relevant alternatives to animal testing.
