Avego Healthcare Capital

Avego Healthcare Capital is Avego's private equity strategy for commercial-stage healthcare businesses. It invests in specialty pharmaceuticals, pharmaceutical services, life sciences tools, over-the-counter products and medical devices, combining growth capital with operating experience and company-building support. The strategy shares the Avego group's offices in Alpharetta, Georgia, and New York. Its Fund II was formed in 2022; SEC disclosures identify Bala Venkataraman as manager of the general partner, James Flexner and Thomas Vandervort as managing partners, Kevin McNeill as partner and Alyssa Romano as fund CFO. All five remain listed in Avego's public group team directory. In November 2025, Avego Healthcare Capital Fund II invested EUR25 million in myTomorrows, an AI-enabled treatment-access platform. This private equity strategy is distinct from Avego BioScience Capital's therapeutics venture strategy and Velan Capital's public equities strategy.
