Valencia biotechnology company developing targeted RNA medicines for genetic neuromuscular disorders. Its investigational lead compound ATX-01 is an anti-microRNA oligonucleotide targeting miR-23b, intended to restore muscleblind-like protein function and correct disrupted RNA splicing in myotonic dystrophy type 1. ATX-01 is being evaluated in the Phase I/IIa ArthemiR clinical trial. ARTHEx’s BOOST-ON platform combines selective oligonucleotides with tissue delivery designed to reach skeletal muscle, heart and brain, and supports additional research programmes in muscular, central nervous system and cardiac disease.
